News from the Trust

As we race towards the finish line of this very unique academic year, our schools have still been a hive of activity with sports days, school trips and much more, all following covid guidance and restrictions.  We would like to thank all those involved in the planning, preparation and facilitation of these activities for our pupils. We would also like to thank our parents, carers and local communities for your understanding of the changes that had to be made to ensure everyone’s safety.  Although parents and carers were unable to be there in person, all our schools are delighted to share some fabulous pictures from these events on Social Media and our school websites so please check these out. Throughout the year there have been a plethora of good news stories across all our schools.  Our children have benefitted from health weeks, winter wonderlands, art exhibitions, special community contacts, fundraising, returning to church school status, a new school joining ( a special welcome to Stockland C of E Primary Academy), forest school activities and art projects.  In a year that has been so changeable we have been immensely proud of all the achievements and activities that our staff have managed to organise.   The Trust would like to offer a fond farewell to our year 6’s.  It’s been a pleasure to see you flourish and develop and we wish you well on your journey to secondary school.   As this is our last newsletter of the school year, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work through what has been a very busy, certainly different and sometimes difficult year, we wish you all a very happy and relaxing summer break.  Categories: 1 CategorySchool News

Whole School update - 16th July 2021

This term we welcomed the exciting news that Mrs Crocker will be taking up the reins as our new Head of School in September. Her official title is the Executive Teaching Head of School, otherwise known as ETHOS, how wonderfully appropriate! We are also pleased to announce that Mr Maisey will be joining our team for one day a week, teaching both classes to cover PPA time for Mr Harnett and Miss Suchacki. We are coming to the end of a very busy and hectic term. We would like to thank you all for your support, encouragement and patience over the past year (and before too, of course!). It is really appreciated by us all. The school is in a good place (6 new children have joined us since Easter) and we are looking forward to going from strength to strength next year in the hope and expectation that OFSTED and SIAMS will visit, at some point, and recognise all the hard work and effort that is poured into the school each week. We can’t wait, hopefully, to invite you all to Friday afternoon’s Collective Worship so that you can see for yourselves all that has been going on. The end of the summer term is always tinged with sadness as we say goodbye to our Year 6 children. This year, we only have two Year 6s, Maisie and Alice, but they have been a wonderfully reliable and trustworthy pair, always showing kindness and consideration to their fellow pupils and always modeling good manners. We wish them all the very best as they prepare to  move on to secondary school and we want them to know that they will always be in our hearts and will be welcome back to visit us at any time. This year, we also say goodbye to Pippa and Dylan as they move to their new school. We hope they will stay in touch and let us know how they are doing. Finally, we hope you have a wonderful summer and enjoy some precious family time. We look forward to seeing you again in September.  Categories: 1 CategorySchool News
