Posted on: 27/11/2020A message from the Headteacher - Ms GabrielIt has been another busy month in School and the highlight for me has to be how moving it was during our Remembrance day 2 minutes silence. The children created beautiful poppies and these have been displayed in the windows to ensure all our parents and communities can see them. We have also just held some activities in aid of Children In Need, which the children have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in. This week we held our first Teaching & Learning Committee Meeting as a small Schools Hub. Our members have been able to introduce themselves and we feel sure they will work hard to scrutinise the plans we propose to develop our schools and help us forge better relationships with our local communities as well as review the different policies we put in place. Although the plans for Christmas this year in school will be slightly different we are pleased to announce that THE SHOW WILL GO ON! and all being well we have organised to have a real live pantomime, online, in school, for the children, in the last week of Term. Posted on: 5/11/2020A message from the Headteacher - Ms GabrielA message from Lindsay Gabriel In the past few weeks we have been working tirelessly to ensure our small schools hub remains safe for all our pupils and our staff. There has been extra hygiene and cleaning in place and we have even installed new hand sanitiser stations outside our classrooms. I was extremely proud that Hatch Beauchamp, picked as a sample school received a top rating after an inspection for COVID health and safety measures, the exact same measures in place at Ashill and Winsham. Despite a few sniffles from the usual Winter colds, our attendance remains high throughout, although I know there are a few younger children who by now will truly benefit from a week off at half term to re-charge their energy levels. By now you will have spoken to teachers about your children’s progress. We hope you have found this feedback helpful, they have all done extremely well this Term. Enjoy the half term holiday everyone and keep safe. Lindsay Categories: 1 CategorySchool News
